It’s officially November and that means that everyone’s favorite holiday is fast approaching. But right now we’re talking about Thanksgiving. While it stays in the shadow of the holly jolly holiday in December, we can still take this opportunity to show gratitude for what we have. Family, friends, but most importantly the food. Food is the staple of thanksgiving, it’s the only reason anyone is willing to travel on a weekday to see relatives. While the true reasons may vary, the food we share with our loved ones each year has a special place in our memories. Certain foods bring back youthful days, others pleasant feelings. And here at Central that fact remains true.

There are so many different types of foods that people crave during this time of year. Lucky enough for us, Central is full of incredible people to answer our burning question. Every dish served at the table is someone’s favorite, so Central, what’s your favorite meal on thanksgiving?
Though when you think of Thanksgiving food you immediately think of the star dish. Turkey. However you would be surprised by the lack of people who actually said they liked turkey. A total of two. I know it’s so disappointing.
The most interesting one was when this one boy said his friend’s answer would have to be “A whole Turkey.” That makes up for there only being two people who like it best.
That was the least popular, now on to Stuffing. Eight people have said they liked this dish the best. Some said it had to be made in a specific way for the true effects to fill their hearts along with their stomachs.
“My mothers Croatian stuffing.”-Mrs. Sisia. It’s beautiful to see different cultures blended into one, showing how diverse holidays can be.
The second winning dish, and most obviously the best, that won with six answers was good old-fashioned mashed potatoes, though one was particular in their choice. Their moms.
“I specifically like my moms mashed potatoes.”- Ms. Marchetti.
What’s better than biting into a warm plate of Macaroni and Cheese? Anything else, but still five people can’t seem to do thanksgiving without it. The creamy cheese soaked pasta has enthralled these people captivating their taste buds and better judgement. Yet it’s such a hard dish to turn down.
“My mom’s homemade Mac and cheese”-Stella Zaccardi. More and more you see how special people in our life impact the food we favor. Such as many mothers and the hard work they put in the kitchen to make these delicious meals.
In addition to the low number of turkey fans, there were about two people who claimed Greenbean Casserole to be the best.
Moving to the desert, which is arguably the most important. You’d be surprised to know that only two people chose pumpkin pie as their preferred Thanksgiving food. It seems the two standard traditions of this holiday are less popular at Central. However, the number of those who prefer apple pie consists of three of the total people who were asked. One more than the savory staple dessert of Turkey day.
Not all people said the same things. Several people named dishes that have not been named yet. Here are their Thanksgiving food hot takes.

The one thing that remains consistent is the love and joy brought by spending time with our family. No matter how different your holidays are spent or how different the food you eat is, we all bask in the warmth brought by the love of the Autumn season. So have a very Happy Thanksgiving and an even better four day weekend.
