Excitement and cheer fill the air as the countdown for winter break begins!

The holiday seasons are always exciting and filled with lots of fun for Central Regional Highschool. They have many activities in the month of December dedicated for festive holiday fun such as Winter Spirit Week, and PJ day for the teachers,who deserve some fun as well! As Christmas gets closer, the golden eagles are preparing themselves for the holidays and their exciting two week long winter break.
Already off to a great start to the last week of school before winter break, hopefully you all are bundled up because the first snow fall of the year happened on Sunday, December 14th! This gave students the hope of a snow day, sleeping with their PJ’s on inside out, and a spoon underneath their pillow . Though they unfortunately did not receive the snow day they were hoping for, they were treated with a 90-minute delay opening meaning students can wake up later, and classes were cut shorter. With Square Dancing Finals, and Winter Spirit Week in action this week is filled with fun holiday magic.
Sarah Veit, an English 11 Honors teacher, who is adored by all her students, and staff is happy to share her excitement and plans she has prepared for the upcoming winter break.
“I am going to visit my parents in Upstate New York and I think it’ll be great for everyone at Central Regional to just be able to enjoy the rest they deserve and recharge for the New Year.”
As they end off the week with Square Dancing Finals on Friday, December 19th the students only have to return to school on Monday the 22nd, for a half day enjoying their last fun-filled day of school watching Christmas movies, and stocking up on sugar. The Golden Eagles will then start off their well-deserved winter break, up until January 5th, 2026 as they come back recharged and prepare for mid-terms and finals.
