Berkeley Townships Central Regionals High school Football Teams Current State

The school currently stands 1-4 and 0-2 in shore. The teams most recent game on 9/26 was a total victory with a 20-0 score. Taking home the first win of the 2026 New Jersey Football  season. The most up to date loss on 9/18 was an unfortunate 7-14 against Brick Township.

For that game, a few players were hurt physically and mentally. Junior Gustavo C. explained that, “The team overall could use some improvement, especially with our teamwork.” This is a statement that could be seen as true, the loss against Brick Township showed the players lack of teamwork, with weak defense and repetitive plays. Another Junior player Austin V. believed that, “With more practice and understanding of the team’s capabilities we can definitely start to pick up our strengths.” The impressive 20-0 against the schools main rival Lacey High school could definitely be a large confidence booster to the teams morale moving forward and something to look back at.

With the recent victory the eagles moved up 4 places in the shore standings, behind the Keyport team. This is a complete turnaround from the 2025-2026 season where the team was top 6 in the preseason, unfortunately falling off later on against division rivals. Despite the unfortunate turn they were still one of the best schools during the year. Players CJ Yates and Elijah Reeder proved the teams worth and helped carry them to victory.
