From timeless pieces like the Polo Ralph Lauren Cotton Twill Jacket to statement pieces like the Tory Burch flower tank top.
Countless celebrities were spotted including influencer Oliva Jade, Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes, and real housewives of New Jersey star Gia Giudice. All the celebrities spotted were dressed completely different. While all expressing their own personal style. Holmes was specifically spotted wearing a simple yet elegant all black outfit that is known to be her signature style.
Many brands use New York Fashion week as a way to execute unique calculated marketing tactics to catch the attention of consumers. Lola blankets marketing definitely caught many consumer’s eyes. They were the first ever blanket to be on the runways of New York. They had a “heaven and earth” themed cocktail party. Where there were separate sides of the cocktail party that delivered totally different aesthetics. The “earth” side had a very dark and dramatic contrast with a video mimicking real earth elements. The luxury brand Ralph Lauren had an outstanding display on the runway. Ralph Lauren always manages to deliver fresh and timeless pieces while being cool and whimsical at the same time. Viola Davis who sat front row at the Ralph Lauren runway said it best “I loved it, the classic meeting the whimsy,” one of the pieces that proved this was a simple white low slung denim jacket with cool white rock n roll feather detailing around the collar.
The LoveShackFancy event looked like it came out of an episode of Gossip Girl. There were Cosmopolitan magazines at every corner, pink and white roses on every table and can’t forget about the countless sightings of the iconic frilly LoveShackFancy dress.
Animal Print had a roaring impact on New York Fashion Week. The most popular print was unexpectedly Tiger print. The popularity around tiger print has spiked through the roof surpassing cheetah print. It was seen on coats, skirts and more.
The most popular street style was Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s famous 90s minimalist. The reason why this style is so popular is because it’s timeless.
